IN-HOUSE ANALYSIS
RC Inspection strives to keep analysis in-house conducted by its group company, RCI Analytical Services. The laboratories are to-date strategically located in The Netherlands, Ukraine, South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, DRC and Mongolia. They are equipped with the most modern and advanced instruments to drive accelerated turnaround times and up-to-the-minute reporting through a service driven approach and innovative use of technology.
CENTRALIZED ANALYSIS
DETAILED REPORTS
FAST AND RELIABLE
ISO ACCREDITED
ISO/IEC 17025
The laboratories are accredited under ISO/IEC 17025 and are actively participating in inter-laboratory tests and international round robins. In case of a dispute between buyer and seller, umpire analysis can also be carried out by RC Inspection Group Laboratories to determine an independent result of the cargo.
The laboratories are registered under the following branch name, accreditation bodies and registration numbers :
RCI Analytical Services The Netherlands – RvA registration nr.: L611
RCI Asia Assayers – MASM registration nr.: TL110
RCI Analytical Services Ukraine – GAS registration nr.: GAS.L.804.027
RC Inspection Group companies are carrying out an independent qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the chemical elements contained in metals listed on the LME. By using subsequently required techniques to define the required purity and minimum assay that registered brands must meet.
In addition, RCI Analytical Services determines the Gold and Silver content in Copper-, Zinc- and Lead Concentrates. By applying Fire Assay / Cupellation techniques with ICP-OES Finish in combination with Graphite Furnace AAS and Titration.
GAFTA and GlobalCOAL
The laboratory based in Mariupol – Ukraine, is approved by the Grain and Feed Trade Association (GAFTA). As a result, they are competent to issue commercial analytical certificates for grain products which are traded under GAFTA contracts.
The laboratory in the Netherlands is registered at globalCOAL. This provides the advantage to issue commercial analytical certificates for coal which is traded under SCoTA (Standard Coal Trading Agreements) contracts.
As sampling and sample preparation of among other solid fuels are performed under ISO/IEC 17020 accreditation (RvA I 308) and all analysis are carried out under ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, therefore full quality assurance is guaranteed.
Additional services
The laboratory in the Netherlands also offers various additional services such as EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) services and a broad range of consultancy services.
Analytical techniques
The analyses are performed using all relevant modern analytical techniques such as:
- ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectroscopy),
- X-ray Fluorescence,
- Spectrophotometer
- PinAAcle 500 Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometer
- PinAAcle 900Z (Graphite furnace) Atomic Absorption Spectrometer
- Instrumental Gas Analysis for all relevant gases,
- X-ray Diffraction (XRD) Analysis,

Fully automatic:
- Calorimeters
- Sulfur analyzers
Most recent additions to the laboratory equipments consists of the PinAAcle 500 Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometer and the PinAAcle 900Z (Graphite furnace) Atomic Absorption Spectrometer.
The PinAAcle 500 is the world’s first completely corrosion-resistant flame atomic absorption spectrometer, designed to withstand the harshest environments and most corrosive samples. Resulting in a better consistency and stability for all analysis in future years.
The PinAAcle 900Z is a perfect addition to the laboratory with its longitunidal Zeeman system with a true double-beam design for fast start-up and exceptional long-term stability.
Due to the high precision and stability, these systems will solely be used for the analysis of precious metals in a whole variety of geological samples.
