Apart from the cooperation with the Erdenet mine and various traders in Mongolia, the group office and laboratory based in Ulaanbataar
recently was granted the “Oyu Tolgoi Assay” analysis tender.
Oyu Tolgoi is one of the world’s largest combined open pit and underground copper-gold mine and is located in the remote Southern
Gobi desert of Mongolia, approximately 550 km south of the capital Ulaanbaatar and 80 km north of the Mongolia-China border.
The mine holds one of the largest undeveloped high-grade copper deposits in the world and also contains gold and silver.
The tender concludes assay analysis service performing assays for elements such as, but not only limited to, copper (Cu),
gold (Au) and silver (Ag) in the trade concentrate product.
The elements will be measured by wet chemistry volumetric titration and / or gravimetric methods, fire assaying along with
instrument methods including AAC and ICP.
Additional elements such as Fluorine (F) and Arsenic (As) could be requested for spot samples.
The operations of the group office and laboratory are acknowledged by ISO/IEC 17020 accreditation (IB 010) and
ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation (TL 110), assuring customers services of the highest quality to be found.
The expansion in services will allow the RC Inspection group companies to expand their activities in Mongolia and in all other Asian countries,
enabling to protect the interests of customers in a broader range of territories and commodities.
Additionally supervision of the transshipment operations and the operations at the Chinese smelters is performed on behalf of various traders
related to the operations of the Erdenet mine.
A proper proven track record has been assembled during the years of operation where qualities and quantities comparing point of loading and
point of discharging were at highly professional level.
